The bird-watching season is here. The advent of spring has been heralded by the return of varied species of flying feathered friends. Grab your binoculars and an avian identification book, and see how many species of birds you can spot outdoors.
Birding - A Rhyming Lobby on a Popular Hobby
The protocol for watching birds
Is “Don’t be seen, and don’t be heard.”
Sneak and crouch to watch that jay
And never give yourself away.
Is “Don’t be seen, and don’t be heard.”
Sneak and crouch to watch that jay
And never give yourself away.
Wait patiently, and keep your calm,
And never be a Peeping Tom.
Just train your lens on things that fly
Instead of human passers-by.
And never be a Peeping Tom.
Just train your lens on things that fly
Instead of human passers-by.
Adjust your focus on that grouse,
But never on your neighbor’s spouse.
Our avian friends will fascinate,
And no one will retaliate!
But never on your neighbor’s spouse.
Our avian friends will fascinate,
And no one will retaliate!

Ahh, this is fun. It's too bad I don't have the patience to sit still long enough to fully appreciate all the birds I see.
