PB&J Day
(posted for the A to Z Challenge)
B is for Bread and Butter (as in Peanut Butter).
April 2nd is National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day in the U.S. Who’s ready for a PB&J?
How do you like your PB&J? Are you a traditionalist, smearing grape jam and peanut butter on plain white bread? Do you use butter too? Or are your tastes a bit more earthy, favoring organic stir-it-yourself peanut butter on whole-grain bread with all-fruit preserves?
However you spread it, PB&J Day is an annual culinary surprise on April 2nd.
Check out this PB&J video that went viral on YouTube. “It’s Peanut Butter and Jelly Time.”

ReplyDeleteWow. I had no idea. We don't have peanut butter and jelly sandwiches very often, but I was already considering having them today, even before reading your post. We have some fresh bread that will be wonderful.
ReplyDeletemy kids LOVE that son!!
ReplyDeleteFor me, PB&J needs crunchy peanut butter and it should be grilled. I'm open on the jam - orange marmalade, peach preserves, strawberry. It's all good. :)
ReplyDeleteI miss PB&J sandwiches. I can't have bread anymore, so I have been spreading it on those "Coco Pops" things that resemble rice cakes and poof out of machines....love that today is a "holiday" for it!

I love peanut butter, but only with honey. as in, I don't really like it with jam (or jelly as you may call it :D)
