Sometimes fiber-filled and fortified foods can be fun to
eat, instead of simply healthy. Fig bars fit the bill.
OK, they’re still dessert treats. But it doesn’t hurt to
favor a few nutritious ingredients, right?
Maybe I’m just fond of fig bars because they remind me of
fine family picnics in forest parks. I
also remember finding fig bars in brown-bag school lunches and forgoing the
ever popular lunch swaps with other students on those days.
I honestly liked fig bars. And I still do.
Here are a few fig
bar favorites.
- Barbara's Bakery Fig Bars, Multigrain
- Bonk Breaker Fig Bars
- Nabisco Fig Newtons
- Nature's Bakery Whole Wheat Fig Bars
- Newman's Own Organics Fig Newmans
- Oskri Fig Bar
- Trader Joe's This Fig Walks Into a Bar Cereal Bars
Sure, some fig bars may contain more healthy ingredients
than others. Take your pick.
